You Are Energy

You Are Energy
Everything about you is alive with energy.
Your heart beats through electrical impulses. Your brain communicates through electrical and chemical signals. Your muscles contract through electrical activity. Your cells are constantly communicating, responding, adapting, and exchanging information.
You are not just a physical body moving through the world.
You are an energetic being.
Your thoughts, emotions, breath, nervous system, heart rhythm, and body all influence one another. When you feel stressed, your body feels it. When you feel calm, your body feels that too. When you experience love, gratitude, fear, anger, peace, or sadness, those emotions do not stay only in the mind — they move through the body.
Modern science can measure some of this through tools like ECGs, EEGs, and heart rate variability. An ECG measures the electrical activity of the heart. An EEG measures electrical activity in the brain. These tools remind us that the body is not still or silent. It is always communicating.
Every organ has its own rhythm, intelligence, and energetic activity. The heart, brain, digestive system, and nervous system are constantly sending signals throughout the body. They are working together in a beautiful inner conversation.
But the heart holds a very special place in this conversation.
The HeartMath Institute describes the heart as producing the largest rhythmic electromagnetic field of any organ in the body. According to HeartMath, the heart’s electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the brain’s electrical activity, and its magnetic field is more than 100 times greater than the brain’s magnetic field. HeartMath also states that the heart’s magnetic field can be detected up to about three feet away from the body in all directions using sensitive equipment — which is often described as a field extending several feet around you.
This is powerful to consider.
Your heart is not only pumping blood. It is creating rhythm. It is sending information. It is communicating with the brain, the nervous system, and the body.
This is part of what HeartMath calls heart coherence — a state where the heart rhythm becomes more smooth, ordered, and balanced. Research on heart rate variability, also called HRV, shows that HRV is connected to stress and emotional regulation. When we are stressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally dysregulated, our heart rhythms may become more erratic. When we feel calm, grounded, grateful, or connected, the heart rhythm can become more coherent.
In simple terms, your inner state matters.
The energy you carry within you affects how you feel, how you think, how you respond, how you connect, and how your body functions.
This does not mean you have to be positive all the time. That would not be real or human. You are allowed to feel sadness. You are allowed to feel anger. You are allowed to feel grief, fear, frustration, and uncertainty.
Being energy does not mean denying what you feel.
It means becoming aware of what you are carrying.
It means noticing when your body feels tight, heavy, guarded, or overwhelmed.
It means noticing when your heart feels closed, when your breath feels shallow, when your thoughts feel chaotic, or when your nervous system feels like it is living in survival mode.
Awareness gives you the opportunity to shift.
You can begin to ask:
What energy am I holding right now?
Is this mine to carry?
Is my body asking for rest, release, forgiveness, movement, breath, prayer, or support?
What would help me return to my center?
Small practices can help you shift your energetic state. Slow breathing. Placing your hand over your heart. Bringing to mind someone or something you love. Practicing gratitude. Spending time in nature. Praying. Meditating. Journaling. Moving your body. Receiving energy work. Using hypnotherapy to work with the subconscious mind.
These practices may seem simple, but simple does not mean powerless.
When you slow your breath, you speak to your nervous system.
When you focus on gratitude, you influence your emotional state.
When you place awareness on your heart, you begin to reconnect with the wisdom within you.
When you release old emotions, you create more space for peace.
When you reprogram subconscious beliefs, you begin to change the energy you live from.
You are always creating an inner atmosphere.
That atmosphere affects your thoughts, your body, your relationships, your choices, and the way you move through the world.
So much of healing begins with learning to become conscious of your own energy.
Not in a way that creates fear.
In a way that brings you back to responsibility, empowerment, and love.
You are energy.
Your heart has intelligence.
Your body is listening.
Your emotions carry information.
Your nervous system is always responding.
And the more you learn to regulate, soften, clear, and return to your center, the more you begin to live from a place of coherence instead of chaos.
You do not have to force your healing.
You can begin by tuning in.
One breath.
One moment.
One loving thought.
One hand on your heart.
One return to yourself.
Your energy matters because you matter.
And when you begin to shift the energy within you, you begin to change the way you experience yourself, your body, and the world around you.
